Most cameras make rectangular photographs. Some cameras from the film era made square photographs: a perfect 1:1 ratio. In the 20th century, the camera that was probably best known for making square photographs was the twin-lens reflex, or TLR. The best-known TLR is the Rolleiflex, which set the idiom for the genre. I own two Yashica TLRs, both of which were made in the 1960s. This book collects 40 photographs that I like, which I made with my Yashica TLRs.

Square Photographs comes in two editions:

  • Standard Edition is published through Amazon Kindle Publishing on their best paper using their best ink, for good image quality.
  • Deluxe Edition is published through MagCloud, which specializes in printing books of photographs. The image quality is a cut above.
